The long-awaited streetscape enhancement project for downtown Vandalia will be under way on May 28th with a special groundbreaking ceremony. The Gallatin Street Groundbreaking has been scheduled for Thursday, May 28th at 3:00pm. Congressman John Shimkus, who was instrumental in helping acquire federal funding for the project, will be in town for the groundbreaking.



Senator Kyle McCarter and Representative Ron Stephens have also been invited to attend the event. The public is encouraged to attend and help to commemorate this exciting event.
