The Depot of Vandalia, located at 107 South Sixth Street in downtown Vandalia, was consumed by flames that started sometime in the early morning hours of Monday, September 3rd.
The loss of the Depot will greatly affect so many in our community. Not only is it the loss of a historic landmark and successful downtown business, but the loss of jobs too. The Depot as it was will live on in all of our memories, and we pray that it is both feasibile and desirable for the owners to rebuild.
