At the first meeting of the new fiscal year, the Vandalia Main Street Board of Directors welcomed new Board Members Ginger Boas and Tim Metzger. Ginger moved to Vandalia a few years ago and works at the University of Illinois Extension Center in Vandalia. Tim, a long-time resident of Vandalia and downtown property owner, manages the local Land of Lincoln Credit Union currently located in the downtown district.
The Board of Directors also elected officers for the 2007-2008 year. The Board unanimously voted to renew President Jennifer Howard's term and commended her for a job well done the past year. Doug Knebel was elected to replace retiring Board member Mark Burnam as Treasurer. Joanna Helm moved from Secretary to Vice-President and Myles Depew, high school representative, will serve as Secretary.
The new appointments will be made official after a majority approval by the membership at the Annual Meeting on Thursday, August 9th.
