Gallatin Street Site Superintendent Terry Fields reported at today's "Mornings on Main Street" meeting that work on the Gallatin Street project could be complete as early as mid-April However, the firmness of this date depends mostly on the cooperation of mother nature.



Currently, all new concrete sidewalks have been poured and the bricklayers are approximately 60% complete with installing brick pavers in the sidewalks.



Beginning next week, the electricians for the project will begin installation and hook-up of the remaining street lights for the project. Also next week, we can expect to see dogwood trees planted. After the street lights and the tree work is complete, the contractor will be doing some general clean-up of the site followed by striping of pavement and parking spaces.
